A Brief His-Story

Dean Richardson is a singer/singwriter/guitarist from Gorham, Maine. Singing songs about Joy, Struggle, Faith, Love and life in general.  In a style that mixes blues/rock, and a little country,  he brings a perspective that is easily relatable, no matter where the listener may be in their own life's journey.

Growing up in central Maine, his musical journey began by taking piano lessons as a kid. In middle school, he was introduced to the guitar......... no turning back..... Over the next couple years he spent most of his time studying early guitar hereoes like Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, and Eddie Van Halen. While in high school, Dean joined his first working band and started gigging most weekends throughout Maine. Over the next few years he shared the stage with some amazing musicians playing throughout New England and Eastern Canada.

He started writing a little later in life. Being married and a father of 3, he felt he had things to write about now. In 2010, his band at the time, Salvation's House,  headed into the studio to record "Walk the Walk", a  7 song ep.  Dean wrote all the material and played all the guitar on this, while only singing lead on the song "Sonshine".  From this experience, opportunities came..........

In the fall of 2012 Dean headed to Nashville to team up with Paul Colman to record his first solo project "Far From Finished", with Paul producing.

In 2016 he once again headed to Nashville to record the album "Second Chances".  Paul produced this one also, and brought together the same "dream team" to play on this, that had played on Far From Finished.

For the latest release "Hope On The Horizon", Dean headed to upstate New York to work with Chris Hoisington at Old Bear Studios.

For 2022, Dean has been booking shows to promote the latest release, and he's diving into writing with and for others.
